Rushd Foundation for Social Development
A non-profit civil foundation established through the efforts of the local community in Damascus during the post-liberation period, with its nucleus in the Kafr Sousa district — born of a belief in the importance of community work and sustainable development.
We work to meet the needs of local communities in cooperation with service institutions and community initiatives across different areas, by supporting educational, service, and developmental initiatives — in the belief that when we empower the individual, we build the community.
We attract talent and strengthen collaboration across disciplines to launch development initiatives with lasting impact, and we are keen to encourage young people toward a spirit of volunteering and initiative and to foster a culture of social responsibility.
